Consideration for beings and things seems to have become a rare luxury, probably because it is being slaughtered and supplanted by Politically Correct. A pity, as it is one of the few simple things that could make life better for everybody.
Matter is, you can make (you`d have to try damn hard, though) a kind person a mean person, but you cannot make a mean person a kind person, whatever effort you exert. Alas, even kind persons are not always considerate. But you can teach a kind person and train a mean person to be considerate. Being considerate pays off!
Like, say, in a certain crime story, a certain killer would not have been caught if only he had shown some consideration for his neighbour. He should not have burned his victim precisely when his neighbour was airing her laundry. But as he did not deign to wait for her to bring the laundry in, the laundry got sooted up, and the lady complained to the authorities about her ruined laundry... which made a detective curious...
So, folks, nice and otherwise, try and be considerate! It always pays off.
